The Kazan Helicopter Plant of the Russian Helicopters holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) received permission from the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) to operate the Ansat helicopter simulator for Russian civil aviation pilots.

The simulator is approved by the Federal Air Transport Agency to conduct training for the type of aircraft, periodic training of professional skills of the flight crews of the Ansat helicopter.

In 2020, Kazan Helicopters received the conclusion of the Center for Expertise and Certification of Aviation Equipment of the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after I. NOT. Zhukovsky (TsAGI) on the compliance of the Ansat helicopter simulator with all international standards.

“In a year after the launch of the Ansat helicopter simulator, the Aviation Training Center of the Kazan Helicopter Plant trained 40 pilots of foreign customers on it. – said the managing director of the Kazan Helicopter Plant Alexei Belykh .

The Ansat helicopter complex simulator is equipped with a visualization system that provides a full view from the pilot’s seat. With its help, two flight areas are reproduced: Kazan, including the KVZ flight test complex, and Sochi. The vibration platform and audio system help to recreate the vibrational and acoustic effects of flight. Using the simulator, trained pilots will be able to practice actions in various conditions, including dangerous and emergency situations.

The development and manufacture of the Ansat complex simulator was carried out in accordance with the investment project “Development Concept of the Aviation Training Center of the Kazan Helicopters Holding” Russian Helicopters “.

Also, the Kazan Helicopters Training Center is equipped with a complex simulator for the Mi-8MTV helicopter. The simulator cockpit is adapted to simulate pilot training at night with night vision goggles. In addition, the simulator is equipped with a vibroacoustic setup that simulates the vibration and sounds of a helicopter, depending on the mode and flight conditions.

The Aviation Training Center of the Kazan Helicopter Plant was established in 1995. Over the more than 20-year history of the center’s work, almost 9000 specialists have been trained here. The center conducts retraining and advanced training courses for flight and engineering personnel. Teachers constantly improve their skills and undergo training in leading training centers in Russia, as well as abroad, and have personal certificates of aviation manufacturing companies. Training for helicopters of the Mi-8/17, Ansat type is carried out at the ATC KVZ. In the near future, it is planned to create a similar training program for the Mi-38 helicopter.
