FreeFlight Systems, a NextGen aviation leader specializing in avionics design, development, and manufacturing, announced the appointment of Shane LaPlante as the newest member of their executive management team. In his new role as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mr. LaPlante will lead the next stage of growth and development for the organization while being responsible for business development, sales strategy implementation, and sustainment across the rapidly growing organization.
LaPlante is a growth-oriented leader who focuses on providing customer solutions through product and services innovation and has in-depth technical knowledge as well as skills in developing growth-oriented strategies, aftermarket sales and logistics, and much more.

Mr. LaPlante’s has spent over 30 years in aviation working at industry-shaping organizations like Lockheed Martin, McDonnell Douglas, Honeywell, and L3 Harris Technologies. In his role prior to joining FreeFlight Systems as the Vice President Aftermarket Sales and Marketing for L3 Harris Technologies, Mr. LaPlante managed the sector aftermarket sales organization and integration of the sales and marketing team of a company acquisition to provide Flight Data Management (FDM) solutions.
LaPlante holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and a Master’s in Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix.
