Pacific AirHub sells two EC145s to RFDS in Western Australia. Adding the first helicopters to their life-saving air mission

Pacific AirHub helped sell the remaining two EC145s, that formed part of the fleet at ADAC Luftfahrt Technik GmbH in Germany, to the Royal Flying Doctor Service Western Operations (RFDSWO) in Australia.

The helicopters will be the first rotor wings to form part of the RFDSWO’s aeromedical fleet. Both helicopters are fully equipped for medical air operations, are in excellent condition, as per ADAC Luftfahrt Technik GmbH high standards, and includes state-of-the-art avionics in the cockpit.

The RFDSWO provides critical care transfer and retrieval services across 2.5-million kilometres to a population of 2.58-million people, providing both primary and secondary retrievals across Western Australia. In 2020 and 2021, the busiest years on record for the RFDSWO, over 10,000 patients were cared for, and 9-million kilometres flown.

Pacific AirHub organised the full hangar to hangar service and managed the exterior repaint to RFDSWO, which was done in Germany. The two EC145s were transported by RORO ship to Perth.

RFDSWO then added their special equipment and avionics before entering the helicopters into service.

Pacific AirHub is proud to have an international footprint that enabled the sale of these EC145s, destined to save lives in Western Australia.
