New MD appointed at Russian Helicopters division Progress AAK

Denis Paltsev, who previously worked as Managing Director of the Stupino Machine-Building Production Enterprise, has been appointed to the position of Managing Director of AAK Progress (part of the Russian Helicopters holding of State Corporation Rostec). In this position, he replaced Yuri Denisenko, who had been in charge of the aircraft plant since 2004.

“Today the enterprise faces ambitious tasks related to diversification, setting up serial production of the latest civilian equipment. I am sure that the experience and professionalism of Denis Evgenievich will help Progress to cope with the tasks set and reach a higher level,” said the first deputy general director holding “Russian Helicopters” Sergei Fomin .

He also noted the great contribution to the development of AAK “Progress” Yuri Denisenko. Under his leadership, the plant confirmed its status as one of the flagships of the Far Eastern industry, carrying out a large-scale modernization of production and starting export deliveries of helicopter technology.

Denis Paltsev is a graduate of the Moscow Aviation Institute with a degree in engineer-economist. From 1996 to 2001, he worked in various positions in commercial and financial structures. From 2004 to 2015, he was the General Director of JSC “Moscow Machine-Building Plant” VVERED “. Under his leadership, the enterprise put into serial production the tail rotor propellers of the Mi-28N and Mi-35M helicopters, parts of the swashplate of the Mi-35M helicopter.

From January 2016 to April 2017, Denis Paltsev worked as Deputy Managing Director of JSC SMPP, after which he was Managing Director of the Stupino Machine-Building Production Enterprise.
