Volation of Auckland, New Zealand has finalized an agreement with one of the world’s largest Helicopter flight training organizations EDIC Horizon, to purchase the operator’s surplus Bell 206B III ‘Jet Ranger’ aircraft.

The Bell 206B III fleet was replaced with the Bell 505 in 2018 and this purchase will include the entire fleet of aircraft, consumables, and Rolls Royce C20J Engine spares equivalent to six (6) 40-foot containers.

Stephen Boyce, Director of Volation says:

“The fleet purchase from Horizon has required patient negotiation through the COVID pandemic but the introduction of these Bell Helicopters into our stock blends perfectly with our business ethos. We specialise in repurposing surplus aircraft from one sector to another and providing value to operators and private owners with our breadth of experience in flying, owning and operating helicopters. The Bell Jet Ranger purchase is strategically conservative for Volation as we identified an increasingly tight supply of light aircraft to the utility and private sector.

The fleet purchase provides flexibility for leasing, parting out and outright sales and it’s amazing that after only two years in business our sales volume and success now has provided us the ability to control stock and the direction of the company. Not being reliant on brokerage and having strong lines of funding for future acquisitions provides clear stability for the coming years. We really look forward to emulating similar acquisitions in the coming year”

Logistics of the purchased fleet are currently in progress, with the final shipment estimated to arrive in April 2022. Please feel free to reach out to Volation for more information. Stephen and Karma Boyce will be participating in the HAI HELI EXPO 2022 in Dallas this year and pleased to meet and address any enquires there.
