The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) participated in a virtual Women in Corporate Aviation (WCA) ceremony announcing the recipients of scholarships for the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operators (IS-BAO) and International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) workshops. Allison Couch was awarded the IS-BAO workshop and Ameer Mustafa the IS-BAH workshop scholarship.

Allison began her career as a flight attendant that allowed her to save money for flight school. While serving as a part-time corporate pilot flying a Pilatus PC-12, she was also the safety manager before landing a position as first officer for a medevac, air charter company. Her passion for safety fuels her aspiration for a leadership role in aircraft safety management.

A native of Pakistan, Ameer Mustafa has an MBA in Aviation Management and is seeking to expand his knowledge of IS-BAH’s safety best practices. His interest is in aircraft dispatch on an international level and the betterment and enhancement of practices and methods for aviation and naval aviation in Pakistan.

“We congratulate these two workshop scholarship recipients and wish them all the best in their career advancement,” commented Andrew Karas, IS-BAO Programme Director. “We also want to encourage other aspiring corporate aviation professionals to join WCA and apply for the expanding range of international scholarships available in the future at wca-intl.org.
