Pacific Crown Helicopters (PCH) has strengthened its engine repair team with the hire of Pedro Queiroga as Engine Shop Manager.

PCH has been growing strongly and last year started searching for an experienced candidate to expand the companies engine repair division. With limited candidates in Australia, with the required skill set and hands on experience, PCH began to look worldwide for a suitable candidate.

Stefan Nageli, General Manager commented, “We are excited to have Pedro onboard and greatly increase the expertise of our engine repair team. It’s been very difficult finding candidates locally with a similar level of experience like Pedro, so in recent years we’ve begun actively looking overseas for suitable candidates.”

Pedro is originally from Brazil and has worked for Safran Helicopter Engines Brazil just under 10 years working his way up to an Inspector. He is certified by Safran on the Arriel, Arrius and Makila 1 and 2 series engines. With extensive experience performing Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 work on the Arriel, Arrius and Makila engine series, Pedro has the traits that PCH is after.

Alex Bourguignon, head of Engine Sales for Pacific Crown Helicopters said “While we are currently approved to perform up to Level 2 maintenance, Pedro’s experience working in a Safran Overhaul Shop (Level 4) will be invaluable for us. We look forward to him settling in and reinforcing our customer support capabilities.”

Pedro’s previous role was with HBR Aviação where he was the Maintenance Coordinator Inspector for the engine division and responsible for a customer base with a total of approximately 260 helicopters throughout Brazil.

Pedro said, “I’m very excited for the opportunity at Pacific Crown Helicopters and when they approached me, I was attracted by the vertical business model they operate and look forward to growing the business further.”

Pedro is also a commercially rated pilot and his wife and daughter have joined him in their move to Australia.
