SBI Leasing Services, Ltd. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Mitsuo Kubota, President & CEO; hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) announces that the Company has entered into a sales cooperation agreement with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Yasuhiko Hashimoto; hereinafter “Kawasaki Heavy Industries”). The Company has signed a sales cooperation agreement with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. for the latest model in the BK117 helicopter series, the H145/BK117 D-3.

The agreement will enable Kawasaki to offer overseas helicopter operators the opportunity to procure equipment through leasing or to make proposals for the purchase of equipment, and to offer Japanese investors the opportunity to invest in the helicopter leasing business.

The BK117 helicopter is a mid-sized twin-engine aircraft jointly developed internationally by Airbus Helicopters (Europe) and Kawasaki Heavy Industries (Japan). Due to its outstanding performance, this aircraft has been used in many socially significant projects such as emergency medical services, firefighting, disaster relief and prevention, and law enforcement, and is expected to provide leasing products to investors interested in ESG investment.

The Company’s management philosophy is to “take on the challenge of becoming a 100-year company” and will continue to work on projects of social significance, as in this case. The Company seek to combine the high expertise of partners such as tax and legal experts and financial institutions to provide investors and borrowers, such as airlines and shipping companies, with high value-added financial solutions.
