Finance and Economic Development minister Professor Mthuli Ncube recently announced the acquisition of four helicopters for the Zimbabwe Republic Police.

Ncube made the announcement after a parliamentary debate on plans to improve conditions for the police, with mobility as their starting point.

In his announcement the finance minister said, “We have sourced US$60 million for purposes of purchasing cars, as well as motorcycles for the police, including four helicopters.”

No details have yet been published as to what helicopter type may be involved
