In order to influence the direction and priorities of AAM development in Canada, the CBAA has joined the CanaDAC Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Task Group #2. This group is part of a joint initiative between the Canadian Advanced Air Mobility Consortium and Transport Canada.

The initial objective is to compile an inventory of anticipated AAM use-cases, which includes a focus on those closest to commercialization and excludes those use-cases that are already operationalized or where regulatory action is presently underway (e.g., RPAS VLOS and BVLOS operations in remote areas). The end deliverable is expected to provide sufficient detail indicating what exactly each would entail, feasibility, and provide realistic timeframes based on the technology readiness.

Through this participation, the CBAA will provide future business aviation use case perspectives such as expected business markets, barriers for entry and required regulatory framework adjustments.

To best support the CBAA in its provision of quality advice to the Task Group, please share you views and ideas regarding AAM future use in Canada at membersupport@cbaa.ca.
