Marines helicopter out of MCAS Miramar crashed on a training flight at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms. Both on board died in the accident, named later as Capt. Elizabeth Kealey and 1st Lt. Adam Satterfield
After take-off, the engine lost power and the pilot conducted a forced landing. The helicopter collided with the ground resulting in substantial damage. The pilot and passenger were uninjured.

Helicopter was involved with long line operations on a power-line construction project 11 nm SE of Key Lake, SK. After a power-line cable was moved, the long line did not release.
