According to preliminary information, after take-off from the helipad on a helicopter has failed directional control system, the pilot decided to make an emergency landing to determine the circumstances and causes of the failure. During landing the helicopter rolled over on its right side and collapsed. Reportedly destroyed. Location was a helipad located at the sodium cyanide plant of Talas Investment Company.
Crashed at night killing owner Mauro Garza Fernandez, and passenger Alejandro Lopez Lopez. Pilot Ciro Huerta Martinez and the other two passengers named as Balden Lorenzo González and Jorge Armando Gonzalez Bustos were injured. Helicopter took off from Lausanne, Switzerland and has crashed in France – reportedly just prior to landing at Montbéliard – Courcelles Aerodrome. Crashed in jungle on flight searching for two missing mountaineers. Wreckage found three days later. Two occupants (pilot Capt Chatchawal Thanthong and experienced mountain trekker U Shwe Yin Taw Gyi) hiked for some time and were located further days after that according to this report. The third (Myanmar co-pilot Aung Myat Toe who navigated) was found dead a few days later according to this article – he was not strong enough to hike out from the crash site. Capt Chatchawal Thanthong suffered broken ribs and by the eighth day of trekking (according to this article) was too weak to keep up with Shwe Yin Taw Gyi, and they agreed that he would wait at a specified place – and was rescued from there a further three days later.
