The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department recently received two new AW189 helicopters form AgustaWestland Malaysia. Per unit, they cost around RM105 million. The addition to their fleet raises their helicopter numbers to nine, reports NST.

Two years ago, AgustaWestland filed a lawsuit against the US Army after they decided to Lakota helicopters from another competitor, Airbus, without holding a competition. This year however, they have decided to withdraw their lawsuit. A Leonardo representative has commented that they are, “disappointed that there was no competition in this case,” reports Navy Times.
