Priority 1 Air Rescue has completed Inland SAR training with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP) which included initial Class B External Rotorcraft Load and Helicopter Short-Haul Rescue in their recently acquired Bell 407.
United Rotorcraft Solutions (URS) has been awarded a contract by Cannon Aviation Group to customize an Agusta A119, two Bell 407’s and a Eurocopter EC130.Â Cannon has configured these helicopters to meet their customers’ requirements. The aircraft began arriving at the URS facility this week with delivery expected by mid-February.

Kaman Aerospace has been awarded a five-year contract with a potential value of $53 million to build composite helicopter blade skins and skin core assemblies for Bell Helicopters. Under the terms of the contract, Kaman will provide 18 different assemblies for H1, 406, 407, 412, 427, 429, 430 and BA609 aircraft.
Corona 1, the Corona Police Department crime-fighting helicopter, has a price of $900,000 after City Council members voted unanimously to sell it at their council meeting Wednesday. The city had paid about $950,000 for it in 2002, according to a city staff report.
