Given the recent forest fires in several departments of the country as Cochabamba, Beni and Santa Cruz, the government is considering buying helicopters or planes in order to meet such emergencies and avoid environmental damage.
President Evo Morales on Saturday welcomed the decision by his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz InÃ¡cio Lula da Silva, who asked the U.S. Congress to approve a donation of four helicopters to the fight against drugs in Bolivia.
