The New York State Police have just received a Huey into their fleet. They received the helicopter through the federal surplus LESO program, reports WCAX. It is stationed at the Saranac Lake police aviation site.

The Air Force and US Strategic Command are having to replace their 62 UH-1N Huey helicopters. With the replacements they want to have a fleet of 84. The three bidders for the contract are Boeing-Leonardo, Sikorsky and Sierra Nevada Corp, reports National Defence Magazine.
