EADS obstacle warning system to enhance flight safety of Slovenian police helicopters

EADS Defence & Security (DS) will equip the Slovenian police force’s helicopter squadron with the globally unique HELLAS (Helicopter Laser Radar) obstacle warning system, which enables helicopter missions to be carried out even when visibility is extremely poor.

Mercy Flight accuses police helicopters of stealing emergency calls for publicity

Mercy Flight Central claims Onondaga County’s Air One helicopter and the state police helicopter in the area are jumping calls — responding to medical emergencies before Mercy Flight has a chance to go — for emergency transports and putting patients in danger.

Nanning Public Security Bureau Orders One AW109 Power Helicopter

AgustaWestland is pleased to announce that the Public Security Bureau of Nanning (Southern China) has ordered one AW109 Power light twin engine helicopter. This aircraft will be used to perform a number of roles also including law enforcement and civil protection/disaster relief across the Nanning province.
