With work expected to begin before year’s end, Vector hope to move in mid-2011. The company has benefited from its proximity to military helicopter bases, as they act as a subcontractor for L-3 Communications to repair U.S. Navy TH-57 helicopters based at Whiting Field, near Milton, Fla.

Aspen Avionics announced today that the Dale County Sheriff’s Office located in Ozark, Alabama, is the first installation of an EFD1000H Pro Primary Flight Display (PFD) and an EFD1000H Multi-Function Display (MFD) into an operational helicopter. The Bell OH-58 helicopter is used by the department in regular airborne law enforcement activities.
