American Eurocopter announced today that HealthNet Aeromedical has placed its first EC145 into service. Wood County Sheriff’s Department officials said they have applied for a $95,000 grant to refurbish the department’s helicopter.Â Wood is the only county in the state that has a helicopter as part of its sheriff’s department.
HealthNet Aeromedical Services of Charleston, W.V., will soon expand its fleet of American Eurocopter helicopters by taking delivery of its third EC135 and first EC145. Both aircraft are scheduled to be delivered on Nov. 6 and will enter service next March.
Metro Aviation, Inc. has been awarded a completion contract to finish two air medically configured helicopters for HealthNet Aeromedical Services based in Charleston, West Virginia. HealthNet, a longtime air medical provider, will receive the new EC135 and EC145 as additions to their current operating fleet.
