20 May, 10Ukraine's Minister of Emergency Situations Nestor Shufrych has announced that a Mil Mi-2 helicopter has been allocated to a summer SAR role for the Sea of Azov. This 14,500 square mile sea is bordered by Ukraine to the north and Russia to the south and south-east.
The helicopter will fly in daylight hours only from Kharkiv flying club in Berdyansk, with an operational radius of 150 miles
