Rockwell Collins awarded $17M for MH-6, MH-47, and MH-60 special ops avionics

Rockwell Collins, Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a $17,200,000 firm-fixed-price contract for life cycle contractor support on the Common Avionics Architecture System and Cockpit Management System currently installed on the A/MH-6, MH-47, and MH-60 aircraft assigned to U.S. Special Operations Command.  The work will be performed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2017.   This contract was awarded as sole-source after approval of a justification and approval document as exception to full and open competition under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.  U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (H92241-12-C-0002).
