Simplex® Aerospace announced today it has received FAA STC number SR02276SE for their latest agricultural spray system for the Bell 212 helicopter. The spray system, Simplex® Aerospace Model 204, is a next generation
spray system integrating several of Simplex® Aerospace’s newly developed agricultural spray technologies. Simplex is the sole producer of FAA STC’d spray systems for the Bell 212.

The new STC approved spray system will hold an industry leading 370 gallons of fluid. The large capacity system will finally provide operators with an FAA approved system for large area spray operations. The Simplex® Aerospace Model 204 system is also certified for night operations. The Model 204 will have cargo hook access with the tank installed, emergency dump doors, and can be installed in approximately 30 minutes after initial provisioning. The booms are standard 80% with 100% boom length available as an option with boom extensions. Approved aircraft speed with the spray system installed is 105 knots. The new model 204 also features fill ports that are in the pilot’s field of view.

The new spray system was developed in response to customer requests for a certified system for medium Bell helicopters.
