Helicopter Pilot School Scholarship established in Baton Rouge

A helicopter pilot school scholarship has been established by Guidance Aviation in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with a $14,000 donation to the Baton Rouge Collegehelicopter pilot school scholarship Baton Rouge Community College Foundation. The helicopter pilot scholarship is designed to help students determine if they are on the right career path prior to committing to the Helicopter Pilot Operations degree at Baton Rouge Community College.

Deadline for this scholarship application is October 15, 2013.

Each recipient of the scholarship will receive $3,434 ($650 tuition, $2,784 lab fees); The amount needed to cover the cost of tuition and fees for AVTH 101 (Private Pilot Helicopter Simulation).

Established in 1998, Guidance Aviation is an FAA approved Part 141 helicopter pilot training school and the only Part 141 collegiate helicopter flight training program based in Louisiana. The Guidance Aviation – Baton Rouge Community College partnership provides the opportunity for student pilots to acquire both their AAS degree in Helicopter Operations and all the necessary ratings and pilot certificates to become a professional helicopter pilot.
