HAI advises members of the aerial firefighting industry of a U.S. Forest Service (USFS) Aviation and Contracting Vendor Summit Meeting in Boise, Idaho, September 30 and October 1. Note these are corrected dates as per a USFS announcement in FedBizOps.

The meeting will be held at the Riverside Hotel in Boise, Idaho, and information regarding start times and hotel reservations may be found in the aforementioned USFS announcement.

The meeting is intended to increase awareness of the USFS fire suppression mission and to provide an education and understanding of fire-related contracting opportunities to new and current small-business, light fixed-wing operators and helicopter operators. The meeting will address contractual processes and operational practices for rotary- and fixed-wing resources, and will also discuss short- and long-term organization and mission goals.
