Corail Hélicoptères, based in the French island of Reunion in the southern Indian Ocean near Mauritius, has recently taken delivery of a new Airbus H130 helicopter. In an announcement on the company’s Facebook page the operator features F-OVNI at a handover event at the Airbus factory in Marignane, France.
Corail principally operates tourist flights on the volcanic island, from bases at Saint Gilles and Saint Pierre. Additional work includes lifting and filming – indeed this new helicopter has a hook and mirror fitted to it. Prior to this new aircraft, the company fleet currently consists of an AS350B2, one AS355N, one AS355NP and two H130s. We are not aware of whether this new delivery is additional or replaces another aircraft.
