John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital now has a newly constructed helipad, priced at $1.1 million. The final touches that still need to be done include mandatory fire protection, which they hope to complete this coming summer. Once this is complete the FAA has to give their approval. Once the helipad is operational, they expect an annual amount of flights to be the hundreds, reports The Buffalo News.
