The helipad at Prince County Hospital has been under repairs and upgrades since 2016 and is finally complete, coming to a cost of $200,000. The overall landing surface was enlarged, with perimeter lighting and obstruction lights installed, as well as the helipad markings being repainted. They also replaced the fence lines and allocated a new area for parking, reports Journal Pioneer. During construction, patients were taken to a landing area at Slemon Park by Island EMS.
