A new helipad was put in operation near an airport located in the Moscow regional town of Zhukovsky, Russia.

“The opening of a helipad is the first step in the creation of a full-fledged area of business aviation in Zhukovsky airfield. The demand for such services is not in doubt,” the General Director of Ramport Aero, the managing company of the airport, Tomas Vaišvila, said.

The helicopter pad can serve up to four flights per hour, taking a wide range of helicopters for civilian use, including MI-8, the airport’s operator specified.

As a reference, Zhukovsky airport was opened in May of 2016, and the first flight was conducted in September.
