The inaugural Public Safety Drone Expo opened on Monday with three courses: Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operations; Safety Management Systems and Human Factors for UAS Operations; and Remote Pilot-InCommand. This inaugural event, produced by the Airborne Law Enforcement Association, is being held at the New Orleans DoubleTree Hotel and runs through Thursday, October 19th.

Public Safety Drone Expo brings together public safety industry leaders, educators, decision makers and end-users to share the latest in UAS technology, applications and education, as well as provides a platform to showcase the industry’s latest technology for law enforcement, fire and search and rescue. Public Safety Drone EXPO 2017 attendees are learning from top experts and public safety operators offering their insights into best practices, fundamentals and integration. The Expo Hall opens on Tuesday evening with a reception from 5:00–7:00 pm. Public Safety Drone Expo 2017 continues Wednesday and Thursday with specific, targeted conference class tracks focusing on law enforcement, firefighting, search & rescue as well as technical briefings and networking breaks in the Expo Hall.
