Chilton County Sheriff acquires OH-6

Chilton County Sheriff Kevin Davis acquired a plane and helicopter for the department to use. Ken Gilliland of B&G Flying Service Inc (which operates out of the Chilton County Airport) was named a reserve deputy, and will pilot and maintain the aircraft (see full story)
US Homeland Security pilot indicted for making false statements to investigators

A helicopter pilot with the Department of Homeland Security has been indicted for making false statements to investigators about an incident where a man drowned trying to cross the Rio Grande River. Helicopter involved was OH-6 N5185B
Museum OH-6 gets a face-lift

Wood County officials looking to refurbish sheriff’s helicopter

Wood County Sheriff’s Department officials said they have applied for a $95,000 grant to refurbish the department’s helicopter. Wood is the only county in the state that has a helicopter as part of its sheriff’s department.
