President Vladimir Putin has finally given his approval for an Indo-Russian joint venture for the production of 200 Kamov military helicopters. The deal, signed in 2015 for $1 billion, is between Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Russian Helicopters and Rosoboronexport. They have yet to sign the MoU, reports Press Trust of India.

Rosoboronexport, Russian Helicopters and HAL have come together to form a Joint Venture in creating a light weigh multi-role Ka-226T. The agreement contract will take another two months as they still need formal registration between Russia and India.
